The USA completes testing of long distance cargo delivery drone

Recently, one has conducted testing of Volans-i’s drone designed for long distance cargo delivery.

The UAV transferred 2.23 kg load within around 100 miles. The vehicle was tested in Texas, where Volans-i had to involve representatives of the Federal Aviation Administration, disposing them along the way of the drone. Legal regulation was a major problem faced by the developers.

The vehicle has the shape of a twin-fuselage aircraft with wingspread ranging between 2.44 and 3.45 meters. It can speed up to approximately 200 mph and carry over cargo weighing up to 23 kg.

Drone creators hope that their solution will make positive impact on country’s cargo delivery industry, as there is an increasing amount of customers, regarding a matter of time as a number one concern.
