An egg-shaped drone created by Power Vision31 August 2016
Power Egg’s maximum airspeed is 13 m/s. It is foldable and easy to transport.
The Power Egg is the first autonomous drone from Beijing-based Power Vision. It is the size of a rugby ball and weighs only 2 kg. It is comprised of high density plastic which makes the device sturdy and resistible to damage.
The landing gear and propeller base retract back for easy transportation. There 4K camera is located on the bottom tip and can be rotated by 360 degrees. The unmanned aircraft is capable of flying both in and outdoors. When outside, it uses the onboard GPS, when inside - switches over to sonar and ground pattern recognition so as not to bump into something.
The drone can be controlled via mobile app or a joystick. Moreover developers offer a gesture remote controller designed specifically for people who are new to flying. According to manufacturers, maximum signal range comprises 5 km. The battery life is 23 minutes.
It is already available on preorder from the Power Vision website. It costs $1288 and the first shipping is planned for October.
