On June 28 this year, one has tested Facebook drone that stands out against others by enormous wingspread. Aquila drone should fly at height of 19 km and connect users to the Internet using laser ray. According to Mark Zuckerberg, this technology provides fast connection speed, overwhelming standard one approximately 10 times.
Initially, Facebook said that test operations were successful, but in a few days it was reported that actually there was an incident before landing. As a result, nobody was hurt, except the drone. Unfortunately, it was severally damaged. The company didn’t reveal what kind of damage it was.
